The 54th Annual Sorghum Festival is almost upon us. With a storied history in the community, the festival is again hosted by the Blairsville Sorghum Syrup Makers and Enotah CASA, Inc. Four Days of Exciting Events For Families Near McCaysville, GA
The Sorghum Festival runs for two different weekends: the weekend of October 14th and the weekend of October 21st. No matter when you arrive, you'll find plenty of sweet sorghum syrup, and you'll even be able to watch how it's made. Additionally, you'll see demonstrations of classic art forms like making bowls - and even join in the fun yourself.
The Sorghum Festival is fun for the whole family. Games and activities include log sawing, pole climbing, rock and hatchet throwing, and more. Plus, many vendors offer handmade wares such as jewelry, soaps, lotions, clothing, and woodwork. So you can take home a piece of Blairsville history if you're from Murphy, NC, or beyond. Remember, on Saturday nights after the gates close, you'll find a square dance at the barn.
